What is your background and position?

After studying HRM, I worked as an HR professional within our retail organization.

What problem were you trying to solve using NewU?

I wanted to address the unhealthy lifestyle of our store staff. Because of Covid, people in general have started to live even more unhealthily, so now was a good time for me as an employer to offer tools to staff regarding healthy living.

What (measurable) effect has NewU had on your organization?

I am told by the staff that they have begun to live more consciously. For example, more conscious choices are being made during breaks. Also since we started offering fresh fruit in all stores as a result of NewU. There is also more exercise during free time.

What is the reason you chose NewU?

NewU came at the right time for us, partly because health is trending ivm Covid. The fact that as an employer we can influence the health of staff in an acceptable way is a great initiative, we think.

How would you describe your experience with NewU?

Very positive. The app and the initiative is very well received by us and our staff. It's a non-committal way to still have an impact on the health of your staff. For employees it is a choice to participate, not an obligation. As an employer, you can think up your own peripheral things to motivate extra, as we did; offering fruit and linking prizes to the person who adopts the most new habits. Highly recommended, and a fun way to put health under the microscope within the organization. The contact with Bart and Gijs is also very pleasant and they think along with you enormously!
